Both routes exist for a reason. Dictation suits a text that does not exist yet, spoken into being in one sitting. Uploading suits a conversation that already happened, where the value is in what other people said. Self-corrections are where it stumbles

People change direction mid-sentence, and the text keeps both halves unless someone removes one. Saying a day and then correcting it leaves two days on the page, and a listener would have caught the change from the tone alone. Homophones and figures need a look

A voice carries no spelling, so words that sound alike arrive as whichever the model expects. Figures and units are the same story: fifteen and fifty sit close together through a mediocre microphone.
